Remembering Matthew 5:11 specially when I’m alone “makes me happy, makes me feel fine.” I feel fine because as human being, I will naturally feel hurt and at times angered by accusations from all directions, but realizing the essence of what the Lord Jesus Christ said, such feelings will instantaneously be gone! The verse says:
(MATTHEW 5:11) “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”
To be blessed by God while other curse, revile, persecute and say all manner of evil, falsely against you is luck! Blessings that come from God are priceless. It is the root of all good things that a man may hope for. It cannot be fully described by human tongue or language.
The Lord Jesus Christ was slandered too, and some of those defamations were recorded as follows.
(MATTHEW 27:63) “Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.”
(JOHN 7:20) “The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?”
(MATTHEW 12:24) “But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.”
(MATTHEW 9:34) “But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.”
(JOHN 10:33) “The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”
(MATTHEW 11:19) “The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.“
Even the apostles were slandered.
(THE ACTS 25:7) “And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.”
(III JOHN 1:9) “I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.”
(III JOHN 1:10) “Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.”
(II TIMOTHY 4:14) “Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:”
(II TIMOTHY 4:15) “Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.”
Even the Christians of the first century were slandered, no different from me.
(I PETER 2:12) “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
This is the path that almost all the people of God have walked throughout their sojourn on earth.
Most slandered me
I believe using mathematical and logical calculations that, I am the most slandered man in the history of Christianity. The defamations being thrown to my person “go beyond borders.” I mean beyond the borders of the land of my birth, the Philippines. By using the most efficient cyberspace technology that is however lenient in terms of charging responsibility and accountability, my detractors were able to popularize these lies beyond borders. One thing I can assure the Members of the Church of God International is, that the lies they are sending beyond borders, if treated in shallowest of equity and justice, will never gain ground. To my God be the Glory forever! And to me and to all that believe in what I preach, His blessings! Amen.
(II TIMOTHY 3:12) “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
