June 12, 2017 (Apalit, Pampanga) — International televangelist Bro. Eli Soriano warned that we live in a dangerous world, describing the present danger as “unimaginable” in his opening remarks during the June 9th Worldwide Bible Exposition.
“Without a warning, someone inflicts harm, someone goes on a shooting spree, and then a chain of [unfortunate] events take place. In the wink of an eye, pestilence appear, like in Africa and in other poverty-stricken places,” said Bro. Eli. “And it just so happens that the chief victims are the poor and the innocent.”
“In these times, the more we need God in our lives,” said Bro. Eli, adding that through Bible Expositions, “people will be brought back to God through His words.”
Emanating from his studio in South America, Bro. Eli hosted the biblical symposium that was aired through satellite technology and attended to by live audiences in major Ang Dating Daan Coordinating Centers. The event was also streamed live via Facebook and YouTube.
Our Safe Refuge
According to Bro Eli, it is through the word of God that we can be near God, and have security, citing Proverbs 18:10, which reads: ‘The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.’
“The name of the Lord is like a strong tower that one can find in the midst of trouble,” said Bro. Eli, noting the preferred alternative translation used was ‘shelter.’
“It is like a strong tower,” as Bro. Eli likened it to “a safe house” before continuing to read the verse, “… the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
“In the face of trials, we need God more in our lives, especially during these times,” Bro. Eli added.
The Ang Dating Daan Worldwide Bible Exposition is regularly scheduled on Fridays, once or twice a month for the preacher’s constituents in the Philippines, Asia-Oceania, Middle-East and Europe.
In the June 9 Bible Exposition, eight questions from live audience were accommodated during the three hour event.
In South America where bulk of the global evangelization efforts are being conducted, Bro. Eli holds Bible Exposition almost daily, even during Sundays in the Philippines.
