Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) is the flagship television and radio program of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), a religious organization spearheaded by program hosts Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon.
In celebration of the Ang Dating Daan’s 38th anniversary, explore some of the charitable activities it conducted, in observance of the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ to do good unto all men, written in Galatians 6:10:

Free Diagnostic Center Services
The La Verdad Diagnostic Center was launched on December 15, 2017, coinciding with the 37th-anniversary celebration of the longest-running religious program in the Philippines. The inauguration of the Diagnostic Center, located in Apalit, Pampanga, was one of the highlights of the said anniversary celebration.
Among the laboratory services being offered free are hematology, blood chemistry, x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, 2D echo, and EKG.
Free Bibles
Since the beginning of Ang Dating Daan’s broadcast in 1980, MCGI has been giving out free copies of the Bible to guests, members, or anyone who asks. This undertaking is led by MCGI overall servants Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon.
For consistently undertaking this project, MCGI has been acknowledged by the Philippine Bible Society as a regular donor and major distribution partner of Tagalog Bibles.
Assistance to Persons with Disabilities
Almost 2,000 PWDs or Persons With Disabilities belonging to 11 organizations across the Philippines were given financial assistance by MCGI during the Ang Dating Daan’s 35th anniversary in 2015.
Meanwhile, Vice president of Marikina Persons with Disabilities Federation Gil Flores shared: “It is the first time for us to receive such help for our federation. As you know, we have a lot of indigent members and this money coming from The Old Path can help us start a livelihood.”
Free Education
In 1998, the La Verdad Christian School and College was initially established by Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon to offer free education to pre-school, elementary, and high school students. In 2005, it expanded to providing scholarship grants to deserving students.
The educational institution is equipped with high-quality facilities including computer labs, library, and the La Verdad Apalit Auditorium, which was unveiled in 2017 during the 37th-anniversary celebration of Ang Dating Daan.
Charitable Homes for Children and the Elderly
Alongside Bro. Eli Soriano, MCGI Assistant Overall Servant and co-host of Ang Dating Daan Bro. Daniel Razon established various charitable foundations that help children and minors, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and any person in need. These include the Ang Dating Daan Foundation and the Kamanggagawa Foundation.
Mass Blood Donation Drives
The MCGI blood donation drives were started by Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon since the 1990s.
Citing its relentless support in providing safe blood to the masses, MCGI was recipient of the “Hall of Fame Award” from the Dugong Quezon Awards in 2016 and the “Top Donor Award” from the Philippine Red Cross in 2014.
Free Rides
The Libreng Sakay Bus Project features the showing of Ang Dating Daan program, allowing passengers to watch question-and-answer videos of Bro. Eli Soriano that discusses various matters of faith while riding the bus. On the free rides, free meals and free copies of the Bible are also offered.
Medical Missions
MCGI’s medical missions are done in partnership with public service channel UNTV, the Ang Dating Daan Foundation, and the Kamanggagawa Foundation. In these charitable outreaches, various free services are offered including medical, dental, and legal assistance.
