Charities and Outreach Programs

Bro. Eli Soriano understands what it’s like to have less in life. Today, his divine obligation compels him more than ever to lend a hand to the less fortunate, both materially and spiritually, in and out of the household of faith.

Charities and Outreach Programs

While incessantly propagating the Word of God worldwide, Bro. Eli fulfills his moral and social responsibilities to his fellowmen. On July 4, 2005, he spearheaded the Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel Foundation, now known as the Kamanggagawa Foundation (Co-Worker Foundation), to provide child care and feeding programs to the poor. The idea came to him while he was watching a documentary about the malnourished children in the Payatas (Smokey Mountain) and Baseco compounds in Manila. He was moved to tears seeing the children having nothing to eat during recess in school. Upon seeing the program, he resolved to facilitate feeding centers in these depressed areas of the country. A couple of months later, the children gained weight and became much healthier.

Feeding the hungry, looking after widows and orphans and giving shelter to the homeless are all included in Bro. Eli’s concerns. James 1:27 says – “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” (KJV). In Matthew 25:32-40, the Lord Jesus Christ said that when these acts are rendered to the least of His brethren they are, in effect, being done to Him. This is the reason why despite his meager resources, Bro. Eli strives hard to establish a number of orphanages in various parts of the country so that orphans and widows could be taken care of. Today, he maintains more than 20 orphanages located in the National Capital Region, in the province of Pampanga, and in some parts of the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

Bro. Eli also led charity works to give comprehensive patient care for people with renal disease. He conducted fund-raising activities such as concerts for a cause to generate funds in order to acquire more dialysis units for patients with kidney problems and renal failure. In the ADD Convention Center, he established the ADD Polyclinic where consultations, check-ups, as well as medicines are all free. end
