Names of men and women who made remarkable breakthrough in various fields of knowledge are written down in history. Painters like Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo, and playwrights like Sophocles and William Shakespeare are immortalized by their respective masterpieces. And even parents who deeply love and care for their children also see to it that could leave them a legacy which they would treasure and cherish for the rest of their lives. And this legacy could be material or otherwise. The same is especially true also to Bro. Eli Soriano. Perhaps, not so much on the material level but more so on the spiritual level.

From being a very shy and unassuming lad who used to hide under a bed whenever visitors would come to their house, Bro. Eli emerged to be a brilliant, fearless, straightforward, and irrefutable preacher and leader of a big religious congregation. In this dispensation, we can confidently claim that, as a preacher and religious leader, he is beyond compare. But not in terms of riches and power but in terms of dedication to work, truthfulness in speech and in deeds, and depth of wisdom and understanding when it comes to biblical matters, to mention a few.

His more than four decades of service to God had accorded Bro. Eli the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, which in return also taught him a lot of lessons. He had touched so many lives; he had brought countless souls back to God, teaching them the rightful way of serving Him. Through his selfless efforts, so many people got to know the God of the Bible; through his relentless pursuit of making the word of God known, many people have learned the path that leads to salvation. And I believe there could never be a more valuable legacy than the teachings of God which Bro. Eli painstakingly implanted in the hearts and minds of people reached by his voice because if they would just hold on to what he preached, with God's mercy, they could merit eternal life.
