Eli Soriano, in preaching the Holy Scriptures, had been to many places, mostly in the northern part of the Philippines to conduct Bible studies. Through his relentless town-to-town preaching, many people have come to know the truth in the Bible and were baptized. He eventually learned, however, that not even one-eighth of the Philippines’ total population has been reached by his preaching.

Eli’s concern for his fellow countrymen being enslaved by false spiritual beliefs motivated him to come up with a step to make the propagation reach to as many listeners as possible. Thus the radio program, The Old Path (Ang Dating Daan), where people have come to know him as Brother Eli Soriano, was launched patterned after Eli’s boldness in preaching the Gospel.
